Thanks for stopping by and checking out my work!

My name is Christopher Waddell, and I’m a British(ish) photographer/content creator/graphic designer.

I add the (ish) part, as although I am British, I have spent most of my life outside the UK. Basically what some people call a Third Culture Kid. I was born in Tanzania, then lived in Botswana, Haiti, New Zealand, Mozambique, Kenya, England and am now usually based in Switzerland when I’m not travelling.

Moving around a lot growing up has given me a huge passion for travel, and I’ve been lucky enough to see quite a lot of the world – especially in the last few years (71 countries and counting). The more I travelled, the more interested I got in capturing the world with my camera, as I find photography (and more recently video) is the best way to capture, remember and share the uniqueness of locations.

I have had my work featured in Digital Photo Magazine, and came 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th places in the ‘Under 18 East African Wildlife Photographer of the Year’ competition (2005/2006). 1st place in the Landscape category of the 2012 Michael the Maven International Photography competition. And was also highly commended in a number of other competitions, including Travel Photographer of the Year.

Although I mainly focus on Travel content. One of the things I love about it is it has forced me to adapt and learn so many different areas of photography which always keeps things interesting – from landscape to lifestyle, portrait, products or wildlife. So after years of travelling and taking photos, I am now able to capture and create content to suit any client, with a consistent look to their brand, and make sure the final product is delivered quickly.

On top of my photo/video work, I’ve also spent the last 10 years running CW88’s Geocoins (basically collectable metal ‘coins’ used in the global treasure hunting game of Geocaching). Where I designed, produced and sold thousands of geocoins in around 30 different designs (including a few custom designs for clients). And prided myself in customer service and rapid responses to any questions or concerns. Although the Geocoins aren’t my main focus anymore, I am still open to making them for the right project.

I’m available for worldwide bookings, and most of my photos/video footage are also available to licence. If you have any questions or are interested in working with me, please get in touch and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
